Food was great. Helpful staff with allergy information. Our servers Becky and Rosie were excellent. They really looked after us. My husband appreciated the birthday surprise cake with the extra touch of his age in raspberry coulis.
A country pub with lovely interior design downstairs & a very cosy atmosphere. Breakfast choice was excellent & staff were pleasant and helpful at breakfast .. Which ended 9am mid wk unfortunately. A bit too early when trying to relax on holiday. Room was clean & warm, a spacious comfortable bed therefore we had a very good night rest. Only downside was we had 2 steps up to the bathroom and our bedroom view was dreadful, not my ideal view for a country pub. (Rm 24) Disappointing room as we had booked over 8 wks ago and I don't think the hotel was fully booked. No room in resturant for an evening meal so we had to drive out to another country pub!
All the staff were really helpful, and the food was delicious. I stayed in room 28 and it is a good room. Unfortunately the night I stayed the toilet kept flushing itself ever 15 mins. Explained to Andy the manager next morning, and he apologised, and thanked me for letting him know.
We stay at his hotel twice a year to visit friends and family in the area and wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Always a friendly welcome and all the staff can’t do enough to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Room spacious and beds comfortable. Food in the restaurant always good especially the buffet breakfast - sets us up for the day. Thanks to Donna the breakfast waitress for helpful and friendly service.

This was my birthday tea time. My wife had a Tesco voucher. The service was excellent - they didn't intrude. The rump steak I had was done just right to my liking.
Stayed 1 night on route from Stanstead airport. Comfortable clean but dated rooms. Excellent staff and good food. Overall good value. We would stay again

Fabulous service from the restaurant team, Lottie & Lydia looked after us really well. Rooms are a little dated, but good value. Breakfast selection is good and again, staff really nice.
